JOIN OUR SCARECROW TRAIL


Are you up for a challenge? How about making a scarecrow and displaying it outside your home or business premises to give the town a big lift for what is set to be a very special weekend of great food in May?


We are inviting both businesses and householders to create and display their own fun characters for the ‘Axminster Scarecrow Trail’, which runs for a fortnight from Monday 13th May. The scarecrows will remain on display as the town goes on to celebrate the first of this summer’s ‘Axminster Eats’ pop-up street food markets on Friday 24th May, followed at the other end of the Bank Holiday weekend by the ‘Axminster Gate to Plate’ food festival on Monday 27th May.

All you have to do


  • Register your plan to make a scarecrow - all we need is your address and contact details
  • Create your scarecrow - any design / size that takes your fancy
  • Display it outside your home or business from 13th to 27th May
  • Take a photo and either post it to social media or send it to us
